Training for Schools

As well as one-off training sessions scheduled by the CLC, schools/teachers can contact the CLC to discuss specific training requirements. Brentford CLC are also operating a ‘Trio’ and ‘Duo’ system for CPD.

Trio

The trio sessions are designed to support both teachers and pupils’ learning by combining CPD sessions with classroom teaching.

Teachers are first invited to the CLC to learn to use the particular equipment and complete the same session as they intend their pupils to complete. Teachers are then encouraged to return to the CLC with their pupils for a further two sessions.

The first of these sessions will be delivered by the CLC tutor with support from the school teacher. The second session will be again hosted by the CLC but this time delivered by the class teacher and supported by the CLC tutor.

Duo

Duo sessions are also designed to support both teachers and pupils’ learning by combining CDP sessions with classroom teaching. However, teachers only return with one class for a follow up session. This is delivered to the pupils by CLC staff and teachers can then be given resources and help needed to deliver this at school.
