Our Rooms: Music Technology Suite

The MTS comprises 10 PCs and 10 Mac-Minis along with a host of music technology equipment (microphones, keyboards, headphones). A mixing-desk is also available, equipped with Pro-Tools (powered by a G5 Apple PowerMac). A range of Music related software is available (including Cubase, Garageband, Cubasis, Acid Pro, Logic, Sibelius)

Set out with two rows of desks, the Music Technology Suite Comprises of 10 workstations each with a PC and Mac-Mini joined through a KVM switch. There are also Midi Keyboards and external soundcards for each station.

The Teacher’s Station has a Pro-tools Sound Rig, Mixing Desk and Laptop for the Interactive SMART Board. The AV resources are linked to both the Studio and the Radio Station, so the teacher can project images and sound from their Station to all three rooms (Studio, Radio Station and MTS) and receive images and sound from the other two.
